Drag Noa (Norma Ruíz Brito) with the fantasy ‘¡¡¡Arriba Mari … neros!!!, designed by Manuel Encinoso and Begoña Pérez and from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, has become the winner of the Drag Queen gala of the Enchanted Carnival of Arrecife 2018. The drag will represent the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, whose responsible is David Duarte, in the contest of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The second in the court of "Reinonas" was Drag Xoul with the fantasy ‘Land of fire and sea and the third was Drag Eiko with the fantasy ‘Are we crazy or what?’. Although only three are awarded, art was felt throughout the gala with the twelve drags from several islands who gave everything on stage.
The gala, presented by Roberto Herrera, began a few minutes after nine and ended at 11:00 p.m.
Three hours of fun and entertainment that delighted more than three thousand attendees at the Fairgrounds. The mayor of Arrecife Eva de Anta, as well as the senator for Lanzarote Joel Delgado and a large part of the municipal corporation were present at a gala that recalled in several moments the fight against cancer on its International Day.
As a guest was the young Andrés González Nieves ‘Drag Vilanz’ with the fantasy ‘Run, run, little horse’, who demonstrated his elasticity and good work on stage. Another of the surprises of the night was given by the presenter himself Roberto Herrera starting to sing ‘A quién le importa’ by Alaska. A moment that the public sang and applauded demonstrating the joy with which the Carnival is lived in Arrecife.
The singer Soraya Arnelas performed while the jury deliberated and did not disappoint with a staging that made more than one of their seats stand up.
