Cristian Caleri, former advisor to the PSOE in the Arrecife City Council, faces a fine of 600 euros for "trying to boycott" the demonstration that Vox held on December 5th in Arrecife against "illegal immigration".

The national leader of the party, Santiago Abascal, participated in the concentration, and about 50 people demonstrated in front of the attendees shouting "no human being is illegal", generating tense scenes in which the Police intervened to separate both parties.

In the case of Caleri, a complaint was sent from the Police Station to the Island Directorate of the State Administration in Lanzarote, which has decided to open a file against him. The resolution indicates that he tried to "boycott the right to demonstrate of those present, interrupting the rally of the political leader of Vox, with insults and continuous disrespect and giving instructions to the youngest and inciting them to violence, seriously disturbing security".

The Government Delegation concludes that the facts may constitute an administrative infraction classified as "serious" and proposes a fine of 600 euros.

The resolution, dated last Tuesday, March 2, gives Caleri 15 days to present allegations or to proceed directly to the voluntary payment of the fine, being able to benefit from a 50% reduction if he pays it before 15 days.
