All residents of the Canary Islands will be able to get vaccinated on an island different from the one to which they are assigned on their health card and in which they are temporarily displaced, whether for work or leisure reasons. This was announced by the Ministry of Health, which states that this measure seeks to "facilitate access to the vaccine for the entire population, especially in the summer months, when there are numerous trips to visit family or enjoy vacations."

Thus, residents who are on vacation or working on another island will be able to go to the points authorized on some islands for vaccination, within the hours established in each one.

In both capital islands, people over 14 years of age are currently being vaccinated, while on the non-capital islands, vaccines are being administered to people aged 12 or older.

The Ministry reminds that young people under 16 years of age must go to the vaccination point accompanied by their mother, father or legal guardian. At the vaccination points they must present their health card and ID / NIE, and they will be administered the corresponding vaccine according to their age group, as established in the Vaccination Strategy against COVID-19.

Each of the authorized venues reserves a specific schedule from Monday to Friday and a specific quota of vaccine doses each day, which are administered to the first people who come, in that time slot, to these vaccination points and until the end of the reserved daily stocks.

This option will be available in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma and El Hierro, where there are vaccination points where you can go without an appointment. In the case of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Gomera, it is necessary to make an appointment by phone. The enabled lines are 928 478 950 (for Lanzarote), 928 423 516 (for Fuerteventura) and 922 140 255 (for La Gomera, which does have vaccination points, but itinerant ones).
