The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has started this Tuesday the vaccination without prior appointment of the booster dose of the vaccine against Covid to people between 30 and 39 years old, that is, those born between 1982 and 1991 and who have completed their vaccination with two doses.

In Lanzarote, the island vaccination point will be open, in the building attached to the Valterra Health Center, from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 19:00. In addition, the Valterra Health Center itself will have 400 doses on Saturdays and Sundays, also from 09:00 to 19:00.

The Ministry reminds that those who completed their vaccination schedule with Pfizer or Moderna must wait at least five months to receive the dose, of reminder after the change in the time intervals established by the Vaccine Panel that until now marked it in six months, while those who completed their schedule with AstraZeneca or Janssen may receive the booster dose after waiting at least three months.

In the case of a person who has tested positive for coronavirus after receiving the complete vaccination schedule, the waiting time between diagnosis and administration of the booster dose must be at least four weeks.

On the other hand, people between 30 and 39 years old may request an appointment to receive this booster dose only through the miCitaPrevia mobile app of the SCS or through the same application of the web. At the moment, the 012 appointment phone continues to be prioritized for age groups only up to 40 years old.
