Canarias adds five deaths with Covid and 1,116 positives in people over 60 years of age

Canarias has registered a total of five deaths of patients with Covid since last Saturday, as reported this Tuesday by the Ministry of Health of the Government of Canarias.

Specifically, all cases were reported on the island of Tenerife and were in hospital admission with "previous pathologies." The deceased were between 60 and 95 years old.

Regarding the new positives in people over 60 years of age, which is the only age group that is still being tested, in the last three days 1,116 new positives have been reported.

This represents an increase of 198 people compared to last week, leaving the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this sector at 61,298 positives.

For its part, the Cumulative Incidence for this group at 14 days is located in the Canary Islands in 836.04 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days in 450.42.
