Infantas Elena and Cristina, Kings Constantine and Ana María of Greece, and Princess Alexandra of Denmark attended the baptism of the fourth daughter of Princess Alexia of Greece and the architect from Lanzarote, Carlos Morales.
The baptism of Amelia Morales of Greece was held in the Church of Our Lady of Los Remedios, in the town of Yaiza, the municipality where the Morales de Grecia family permanently resides.
The ceremony was officiated by the metropolitan bishop of the Orthodox Church for Spain and Portugal, according to the Orthodox rite, which, according to Alexia of Greece, encompasses baptism, communion, and confirmation in a single act.
The event was attended by just over a hundred guests, including the mayor of Yaiza, Gladys Acuña, Manuel Cabrera, Minister of Sports of the Cabildo, the businessman José Calero, and friends of the couple.
Infanta Cristina attended the event accompanied by her children Irene and Pablo Nicolás, while Infanta Elena attended alone.
Princes Nicholas and Philip of Greece, brothers of Princess Alexia, also attended the event. Her brother Pablo could not attend due to the advanced state of pregnancy of his wife Marie Chantal.
After the ceremony, the guests moved to the Amura restaurant in Puerto Calero, the town where Alexia and Carlos Morales reside, where a lunch was offered.
