The Aviapartner delegation in Lanzarote, which has more than 100 employees, has donated 5,000 euros to those affected by the volcano in La Palma.

The company held a symbolic ceremony this Thursday morning to hand over a giant check for 5,000 euros in T2 of the César Manrique - Lanzarote Airport, for La Palma. The event was attended by the delegate in Lanzarote, Mustafa Milud, and some Aviapartner workers. The money, according to the delegate, will be deposited in the bank account enabled by the Cabildo de La Palma.

The economic amount is divided into two parts, half of which is intended on behalf of the company's employees, and the other 2,500 on behalf of the management itself. The money is what was originally intended for the celebration of the company's Christmas dinner.

"We were already thinking that it had to be canceled," said the delegate of Aviapartner in Lanzarote, Mustafa Milud, on Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero. "We were not going to do it because we are more than 100 workers," Milud pointed out, and assures that they would run a "very big" risk if the meal was held, due to the consequent quarantines and the possibility of being without workers to cover the airport services.

"Seeing what was happening in La Palma, it occurred to us that it was a good idea to donate that money to those affected by the volcano," said Mustafa Milud, who also added that the company's delegation in Fuerteventura "has donated another 5,000 euros", so between both islands a total of 10,000 euros will be allocated to those affected by the volcano.
