Arrecife will once again have a Nativity Scene this Christmas

Arrecife will recover its Nativity Scene, after last year it could not be set up due to lack of economic resources. The Councilor for Festivities, Víctor Sanginés, has explained that both his Council and the Council of Culture are "preparing" the Nativity, which will probably be located in the Ramírez Cerdá Park and could be inaugurated next Monday.

Sanginés has stated that the intention of the City Council is that the Nativity Scene be "a recreation of the main areas of Arrecife, of the historic center, with the church and El Charco de San Ginés or the Puente de las Bolas." "We plan to set it up on the weekend to be able to inaugurate it soon," said the councilor.

In this way, schoolchildren will still have a week before the holiday period to visit the Nativity Scene. The mayor has assured that it will be a Nativity Scene "in good condition, which will be prepared to grow year after year."

Initially, the aforementioned Councils were studying the possibility of setting up a Nativity Scene in La Recova, since "for security reasons it greatly reduced costs." However, it is most likely that it will be located in the Ramírez Cerdá Park since "the Department of Youth is preparing musical events in that area."

Christmas lights will reach the neighborhoods

Likewise, Sanginés has pointed out that the City Council will try to bring "Christmas lights to all the neighborhoods of Arrecife", where Led lighting will be used to contribute "to energy saving."

The Arrecife City Council will announce at the end of this week the program that it has prepared for this Christmas, and in which the Departments of Youth, Commerce, Festivities and Sports are working.
