The House of Culture of Arrecife witnessed on Thursday night the elegance and charm of the young aspirants to the crown of Queen of the Carnival of Arrecife 2018. The presentation took place at 9:00 p.m. with the presence of the mayoress of Arrecife Eva de Santa, the Councilor for Festivities David Duarte and Miss Arrecife 2017, Yanira Cazorla.
The master of ceremonies Carmen Nieves introduced the candidates -one of them could not attend for work reasons-, who went down the brand new staircase of the House of Culture together with their designer, then they chose a mask as a symbol of the Carnival that contained a number, the position in which they must go out on the night of the Election Gala.
In this way, the order was established as follows:
First, Ariadna Ato Pareja who will wear the fantasy 'The dawn of a warrior' designed by Pedro Vizcaíno. The second to parade on the enchanted stage will be Lucía Parrés Bruscella, dressed by the designer Orlando Callero under the name 'Never stop dreaming'.
Yanira Rodríguez Barrios, who could not attend the presentation for work reasons, will go out in third place dressed by the designer Oswaldo Machín and the name of the fantasy is 'Living like this'.
María Cedrés Pérez, with the design 'Amazonia' by Rubén Pérez will go out in fourth place.
The mayoress of Arrecife, Eva de Anta, thanked "the predisposition of the designers and the candidates to enrich our Carnival" and encouraged "everyone to enjoy our city". For his part, the Councilor for Festivities David Duarte, recalled that this year "a gala that has not been held since 2015 is resumed, and that it is done with the quality that Arrecife deserves, with careful details and a luxury designer, the artist Juan Carlos Armas, creator of several stages of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife".
The Election Gala of the Enchanted Carnival Queen Arrecife 2018 will be held on Thursday, February 8 at 9:00 p.m. at the Fairgrounds with a special performance by Edwin Rivera. Free admission.
