The Marina Lanzarote marina in Arrecife hosted a flag ceremony for civilians organized by the Air and Space Force in collaboration with the Arrecife City Council. The ceremony was presided over by the General Chief of the Canary Islands Air Command, MACAN, Juan Pablo Sánchez de Lara.

The civil Flag Swearing involved the participation of 255 people, including the mayor of Arrecife, Ástrid Pérez, who swore allegiance first, followed by some public officials and the rest of the registered citizens. All paid honors to the fallen and to the flag of Spain.

It should be noted that the oath or promise of the new members was taken by Colonel José Vicente Teruel, Head of the Lanzarote Military Airfield and military commander of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

For her part, Ástrid Pérez thanked Colonel Teruel for his willingness to accept the invitation extended by the Municipal Corporation to hold this civil flag swearing. The capital's mayor also highlighted "the importance of integrating the professionals who provide their services in the Spanish Army, regardless of their branch, with the general public, which in the case of Arrecife is more than evident with their attendance and presence at our events. I believe that the more united, supportive, and cohesive our society is, the more harmonious the coexistence among its members will be, and the healthier democracy will be, with everything working better."
