The Timple House-Museum of Teguise celebrated, within the program of activities for this year, the concert of the folklorist Antonio Corujo.
On this occasion he was accompanied by Jorge Armando Cañas on double bass, Manuel Ángel Gopar on timple, Vicente Corujo on Pandero and Domingo Corujo on guitar and limpets, he was also accompanied as a soloist by his nephew Ciro Corujo.
During the 90 minutes of the concert, Corujo was unraveling the famous verses of Víctor Fernández Gopar "El Salinero de Las Breñas", counting on the special collaboration of Ciro for this. Uncle and nephew conquered the public from the beginning of the concert to the end.
Once again, Antonio Corujo made it clear that the "Maestro Salinero" was a man far ahead of his time since his verses are still valid today.
In addition to the verses of El Salinero, Antonio had the voices of his sons, Vicente and Domingo, united with those of Ciro, who offered some biblical passages that were sung with the Rancho de Pascuas of San Bartolomé.
When Antonio finished the concert, the audience stood up and applauded at the same time, asking him to continue, a request he accepted by reciting two poems. Once the concert was over, Antonio was signing his album "El Salinero" and answering each of the questions that the public was asking him.
