The young Anthony Fernándes, who was born with multiple arthrogryposis and suffers from joint stiffness, a disability that affects his arms and legs, preventing him from going up and down stairs, has encountered an unpleasant surprise on his first day of class at the Pancho Lasso School, as he denounced through a video.
"I arrived at the institute on the first day and to my surprise there is no elevator, so I cannot access the classrooms", said the young man, who says that the "only solution" they have given him is to go to the center "the day after tomorrow" at 8 o'clock, to the "only class" that is taught on the ground floor and then have to leave "because he cannot access the other classes, which are on the upper floor".
In his video, the young Anthony Fernándes, recalls that the European deadline to remove architectural barriers from buildings ended two years ago and states that, since then, "the Government has money to adapt this institute and those that are missing". "Let's see who gives me a solution, because I have to attend class," he concludes.
