Maritime Rescue has intercepted another small boat east of Lanzarote. It was spotted by the Sasemar plane at about 09.25 hours, 94 kilometers southeast of Lanzarote after the NGO Caminando Fronteras alerted of its position.

According to the Red Cross, 30 people of sub-Saharan origin were traveling, including several women and a minor.

They have been transferred to the Commercial dock where they have been attended by the Red Cross. All were in "good general condition" and have not had to make any transfers to health centers.

This is the second small boat to arrive in Lanzarote today. The first was rescued near Arrieta.
