Another boat intercepted east of Arrecife de Lanzarote

The boat will be diverted to the island of Fuerteventura, where it is scheduled to arrive around 1:45 p.m.

A new boat has been intercepted at about 10:25 a.m. this Tuesday morning 35 miles east of Arrecife, according to the Emergency Consortium.

The Red Cross has indicated that 51 people are traveling on the boat. Among them, 35 men, 12 women and four minors, all in good health.

Maritime Rescue was scheduled to arrive at the Arrecife Commercial dock at 11:15 a.m., but for logistical reasons it has been diverted to the island of Fuerteventura, where it will arrive at the Puerto del Rosario dock at 1:45 p.m.

 

Second boat of the day

Maritime Rescue rescued a boat located 40 miles east of Arrecife at around 8:00 a.m. this Wednesday morning, according to the Emergency Consortium.

There were 53 people traveling in the inflatable boat. Among them, 48 men, two women and three minors, of sub-Saharan and North African origin.

According to reports from the Red Cross, all were in good health, except for one person who had minor burns, but no migrant needed to be transferred to a hospital.
