In the march they will also demand the construction of the tower and rehabilitation of the Maternal and Child Hospital of Gran Canaria, "where the boys and girls of Lanzarote go to receive their treatment"

Afol demonstration demanding the radiotherapy unit

The Association of Oncohematological Families of Lanzarote (AFOL) has called a demonstration in Arrecife for next Saturday, November 5, due to the delay in the start-up of the radiotherapy unit on the island.

"Where are our politicians? What is happening with Lanzarote? Our health is important. Without health there is no life," says the group, which demands that the unit be launched "now" after years of promises.

In addition, the march will also demand the construction of the tower and rehabilitation of the Maternal and Child Hospital of Gran Canaria, "where the boys and girls of Lanzarote go to receive their treatment."

The demonstration will start at 10:30 a.m. from the Casa Amarilla on Calle Real and will reach the Cabildo, where they will read a manifesto that they will then deliver to the president, María Dolores Corujo, "so that she can send it to whoever it may concern."

The association, which five years ago managed to get thousands of people to the streets demanding a radiotherapy unit on the island, has now launched a new call to the population to join this new protest. "Join us, your support strengthens us", "defend your rights", "the greatest wealth is health", he warns.
