A third boat rescued near Lanzarote

There were 55 people of sub-Saharan origin on board, including 42 men, 12 women and 1 minor.

Maritime Rescue rescued a third boat near the coast of Lanzarote on Wednesday night, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

There were 55 people on board this boat, of which 42 are men, 12 women and 1 minor, all of sub-Saharan origin. They were transferred to Puerto Naos where they were assisted on land by the Red Cross at around 9.30 pm.

With the boat arriving on Wednesday night, there are now 158 people who have arrived in Lanzarote in the last 24 hours. In addition, it would be the third boat that has arrived on the island this Wednesday, December 6. Once attended by the Red Cross volunteers, two hospital transfers have been made.
