The Lanzarote photographer Juan Méndez photographed last June 22 the moonset behind the control tower of the César Manrique Airport of Lanzarote.

In some images that he has sent to La Voz, you can see a large full moon hiding behind the tower where the island's air traffic controllers work.

The image was taken from Guacimeta beach, in Playa Honda (San Bartolomé).

Méndez has collaborated on several occasions with the scientific publication National Geographic, which has shared several images of the island of Lanzarote taken by the photographer. Among them, Climbing the Moon, a photograph taken from the Guinate viewpoint.
