A new boat has arrived this Thursday afternoon in Lanzarote, with 40 immigrants on board. The boat has been spotted at sea when it was already near the coast and has been taken to the port of Órzola.
According to the first data provided by the CECOES, among the occupants there are 37 men, one woman and two minors. All are of Maghreb origin and have reported that they left Agadir three days ago. In addition, one of the occupants had to be transferred to a hospital center.
The boat is the tenth to arrive in Lanzarote in less than 48 hours, according to data from the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) of the Government of the Canary Islands.
