Maritime Rescue has rescued this Sunday a new boat, the eighth so far this week, in waters near Lanzarote.
There were 36 people on board, 32 men, 2 women and two minors, all of Maghreb origin, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium.
The Guardamar has transferred the occupants to Puerto Naos where they have been attended by the Red Cross. Two of the migrants have been evacuated to Molina Orosa for different pathologies.
With this, there are already eight boats that have arrived to the island this week. This Friday a boat with 43 people was rescued, on Thursday another with 56 people, on Wednesday another with 66 migrants and on Tuesday there were four. In total, 411 migrants have arrived to the island.
