A boat is rescued near Lanzarote

There were 52 people traveling in the boat, including women and children

Maritime Rescue has rescued a boat near Lanzarote this Monday morning, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

The boat was spotted at 7.38 in the morning and 52 people of sub-Saharan and Maghreb origin were traveling on it, including women and children, all in apparent good health.

They have been transferred to Puerto Naos in Arrecife where they have been attended by the Red Cross.

This last precarious boat has been located by the SIVE of the Las Palmas Command when it was sailing 7 nautical miles southeast of Arrecife.
