A video published by a fisherman and content creator on his Instagram account (@eviloutdoors) shows the danger of the coast of Lanzarote. The video, which went viral on social media with more than half a million views, was recorded three years ago in the Los Charcones area, in the southwest of the island, although it has only now been published by this content creator.
As can be seen in the recording, a man was fishing in this area of the island despite the rough seas. Unexpectedly, a large wave hits him at the same time as the fisherman runs to avoid being swept away.
Despite the surprising scene, the fisherman was able to escape in time and suffered no injuries, as this influencer explained in the publication.
"Never underestimate the ocean, it's very quick the moment you lose or win, and not for a stupid fish!", he added.
This Los Charcones area is one of the most dangerous in Lanzarote and, despite this, it has been promoted for years on social media as a paradise. However, several lives have been claimed over the years, five in the last year.
