The thick fog that affected the interior of Lanzarote on Wednesday morning has forced the closure of the entrance to Montañas del Fuego in Timanfaya National Park due to poor visibility.

This meteorological phenomenon is known as advection fog, which occurs when warm, humid air flows over colder surfaces such as the Atlantic waters. This temperature contrast cools the air and condenses it, forming fog.

As can be seen in the video, the tourists were queuing to access, but the National Park did not allow entry because "it makes no sense to let them in when it is a visual experience".

Therefore, from the Park they explain that this measure is always taken when the meteorological conditions are not favorable and do not allow enjoying the experience, which includes the observation of the volcanoes, the bus route and the geysers

These demonstrations of the mythical geysers are not carried out for safety, as is the bus tour to avoid possible accidents due to poor visibility.
