A Tenerife influencer Acaymo Farray, along with two residents of Lanzarote, denounced the lack of water in the towns of Lanzarote this Tuesday in a video shared on social media. The images shared on TikTok and Instagram show their discontent over the constant lack of water in their homes.

The two young people from Lanzarote comment on the luck of those who have a cistern, but reveal that filling it depends on the amount of water that enters the network that day, while warning of the difficulties faced by people who do not have this storage facility in their homes. Furthermore, these content creators explain that to carry out basic household chores, such as doing the laundry or washing the dishes, one sometimes has to wait until the early hours of the morning or when "the water comes in".

This is not an isolated incident; these island residents clarify that news about water cuts occur every week. In one of the images shared in the video, a clipping from La Voz is shown, reporting on water cuts in about twenty towns. Faced with this reality, the people of Lanzarote warn that "it is a problem that has to change now".

For Acaymo Farray, this reality shows that "not everything is rosy" in Lanzarote and that the same happens on the island of La Graciosa, whose network depends on the water pumped from Lanzarote, where for a few days of tourism he found that there was no water to wash his hands.

Cuts in the towns and water in the hotels

Likewise, they criticize the abundance of water in the hotels "in the south" all day long, while the towns on the island are without water for several hours.

The Tenerife content creator, who has been touring the island of Lanzarote for a few days with several well-known people on social media, has commented that the objective of this challenge is to show not only the positive side but also the negative side. The video ends with a protest and denunciation message "Canarias is going to shit", in which they demand the care of the island's inhabitants.
