On July 25, CECOES reported on the death of a 45-year-old woman who drowned on Las Cucharas beach at around 2:30 p.m. According to some English media, the victim was a British tourist who was on vacation on the island with her family.
Let us remember that upon the arrival of the emergency services, the woman was in cardiorespiratory arrest. After the first basic resuscitation maneuvers, the paramedics could not do anything to save her life.
After certifying the woman's death, the victim was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine to perform the autopsy.
