The Traveling Cinema of Summer arrives in Uga with two nights of free cinema

Tenique Cultural, after a successful tour through four municipalities, will arrive in the municipality of Yaiza on August 6 and 7, at 9:00 PM, with the Summer Traveling Cinema 2026 with two outdoor screenings in the Uga Market Square. The Three Days of the Condor and Argentina, 1985 will be the titles screened. A top-tier program that raises questions about power, individual responsibility, truth, and the role of public institutions.

The first session, on Thursday August 6, will consist of the screening of The Three Days of the Condor. The film follows a CIA analyst who, after discovering his colleagues murdered, is forced to flee without knowing whom to trust. Suspense and tension sustain a story that also turns its gaze towards information control, institutional secrets, and the vulnerability of the individual against structures that act beyond their reach.

On Friday August 7, Argentina, 1985 will be screened, inspired by real events, it tells the story of a young prosecutor and his legal team who will confront the high command of the bloody Argentine military dictatorship. Under constant threats and with time running out, they prepare the indictment for the historic Trial of the Juntas. The session will feature the mediation of the renowned percussionist Karina Lacourtois, who will accompany the presentation of the film and the subsequent conversation with the public.

Although set in very different scenarios and historical moments, both works observe people who must decide how to act in the face of superior powers. In one, distrust and surveillance force the protagonist to question the system to which he belongs; in the other, a group assumes the responsibility of defending truth and justice through the tools of the rule of law.

Recalling the experience of old outdoor cinemas, this project offers a curated program and an activity close to diverse audiences that turns everyday spaces into settings for community and cultural coexistence. The two screenings will begin at 9:00 PM and will be free admission.
