Following the request of the Yaiza City Council, the Official School of Languages of Arrecife, a public educational center dependent on the Government of the Canary Islands, extends its face-to-face educational offer in the facilities of the CEO of the southern town of Playa Blanca starting in the 2023-2024 school year, starting classes this Wednesday, October 4th in the afternoon with a total of 52 students enrolled, 40 of them in level A2.1 and 12 more in level B1.1 of English language teaching.

The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, applauds the opening of the annexed classroom, noting that "we proposed the extension of the School of Languages in the Playa Blanca CEO to bring and promote training among our young people and improve the skills of personnel in the tourism sector, also considering that its operation and the possibility of expanding the teaching of other languages in future courses favors social integration in a multicultural municipality like Yaiza where we live with neighbors from 81 nationalities."

The leader publicly thanks the "involvement of the director" of the School, Ignacio Vilalta, "who welcomed the proposal very well since we formalized it earlier this year, as well as the receptiveness of the political leaders of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, who also understood the depth of this initiative that is already a reality."
