The noise platform resorts to the lawyers who ended the concerts at the Bernabéu

According to the residents, the legal route would be "the last card they would play" and what they intend is "not to prohibit musical events in the capital, but to remove those that are close to residential homes"

The continuous concerts in Arrecife have led the residents affected by the noise to create a platform to try to take measures regarding this problem that "affects their rest." As La Voz has learned, this Tuesday they already held an assembly where they approved the statutes and the Board of Directors, in addition to carrying out an agenda to decide what measures to take from now on.

According to the platform, the legal route would be "the last card they would play" because what they will do first is seek advice from a law firm in Madrid specialized in noise issues. This is the same firm that led the case of the residents of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium who complained about the noise from the concerts.

After this step, the next will be "to arrange an interview with Yonathan de León, the mayor of Arrecife, and explain to him what the problem is and also let him know the reason why we are on this platform," they explain.

The platform states that what they intend is not to prohibit musical events in the capital, "but to remove those that are close to residential homes," they say.

In addition, they say that the problem with the noise from events "is not only something that happens here, but it is happening in other places nationwide and they have stopped due to laws and regulations, but they generally skip them until the citizens say 'enough is enough'."

The platform defends that there is awareness on these issues as there is also on light pollution and that it is not the panacea of cladding, as they hold festivals of this type 30 meters from the homes of the residents," they conclude.
