The solar eclipse of last August 12 in Spain left a historic scene in which hundreds of photographers took the opportunity to capture the perfect image of the phenomenon.
Gustavo Medina from Lanzarote was one of those who did not want to miss this event. However, from Lanzarote, the maximum visibility was 77%, while in some parts of the Iberian Peninsula, the eclipse was total.
The photographer from Lanzarote traveled to the city of Valladolid to capture the marvelous images of the solar eclipse that will not be seen in the Canary Islands for just over a hundred years.
Gustavo Medina also points out that "no photograph justifies that moment." The photographer values the moment more than the image; for him, "photography is secondary" when it comes to "enjoying that wonder." It turns out to be "incredible, but it's like that, the emotion of the moment is above all else," concluded the man from Lanzarote.
