The Haría City Council commemorates International Youth Day this Wednesday with a recital of classical guitar by the young Lanzarote musician and composer Aarón Vera Cabrera, with a performance that will take place at 8:30 PM in the El Aljibe hall, with free admission until full capacity.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlights that "this celebration is an opportunity to highlight the talent of Lanzarote's youth and offer spaces where young people can showcase their creativity and develop their artistic interests."
The young musician, a native of Arrecife and specializing in guitar and timple, will present a program that offers a journey through different periods of classical guitar, from the Baroque to contemporary 20th-century music.
The repertoire will also include adaptations of works from other musical genres, as well as original compositions, showcasing the instrument's diverse expressive possibilities and the evolution of its language over time.
Aarón Vera Cabrera is currently pursuing higher studies in Classical Guitar Performance and Composition at the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands, where he continues to develop an artistic career linked to both performance and musical creation, as well as traditional Canarian music.
With this initiative, the City Council joins the celebration of International Youth Day by supporting culture and promoting the young talent of Lanzarote.
