Spanish haute couture has once again dressed up. Last October 28 and 29, the Royal Tapestry Factory of Madrid hosted a new edition of Atelier Couture, the event that for a decade has paid tribute to contemporary sewing and Spanish high craftsmanship in the bridal and ceremony fields.
An essential event for lovers of savoir faire, which this year celebrated its tenth anniversary with more strength and meaning than ever. Over two days, attendees were able to enjoy not only a full program of fashion shows and exhibitions, but also sensory and gastronomic experiences linked to national talent.
As in previous editions, Atelier Couture has reaffirmed "its commitment to slow fashion, traditional crafts, and the appreciation of artisan workshops that keep the essence of Spanish sewing alive."
Among the protagonists of this edition, the presence of ASN Madrid, the Bridal Sector Association of the Community of Madrid, stood out. On October 29, they paraded with a collective proposal that brought together several of their designers and associated brands.
ASN Madrid is a non-profit organization founded with the purpose of leading and uniting the bridal sector, promoting and enhancing the work of companies, professionals, and brands that make up this universe. Its presence at Atelier Couture represents a recognition of the business fabric that supports Spanish bridal fashion from within: designers, artisans, jewelers, creators of accessories, and an entire network of professionals who make the magic of each dress possible.
Under the umbrella of ASN Madrid, several of its members showcased their vision of contemporary bridal art. Among them, one name shone with particular strength: Oswaldo Machín. From his atelier in Las Palmas, designer Oswaldo Machín has established his own style in the bridal fashion scene thanks to his ability to reinterpret femininity through elegance and the purity of lines.
His creations, made with deep respect for the tradition of tailoring, are a tribute to timeless beauty, fine fabrics, and impeccable workmanship. On the Madrid catwalk, the designer presented three key designs in his aesthetic: the transparencies of Cleopatra, the fringes of Cactus, and the perfect fit of Brisa.
Thus, this 14th edition of Atelier Couture has been presented as a true celebration of signature fashion, craftsmanship, and the union of the Spanish bridal sector. Ten years after its first edition, the event remains true to its essence: to offer a platform to creators who understand sewing as art, emotion, and heritage. And with this anniversary, Atelier Couture has reminded us why fashion made with soul never goes out of style.
