Emerlan, the Rescue and Emergency Service in Lanzarote, will have a new search protocol where the canine unit, that is, the dog and the human, will go by helicopter to the search area.

In this way, the K9 Unit can locate the missing person more quickly while the MI.21 carries out the rescue.

This procedure saves the team time and resources, as well as opening up a range of possibilities for future interventions in remote or difficult-to-access areas.

"We want to thank the Government of the Canary Islands, the GES staff and the MI.21 Crew for the great work they do and for their valuable collaboration," Emerlan declares.
