'From Lanzarote with Palestine' will demonstrate this Saturday "for the children murdered in the genocide"

“Palestine is not alone, here we are, in Lanzarote, all of us supporting, denouncing the death of so many boys and girls and fighting for their rights and freedoms,” proclaimed the members of the Lanzarote collective.

The De Lanzarote con Palestina collective is once again calling on the island's population to show their "solidarity" with the Palestinian people and to demand "an end to the genocide" in Gaza. In this new call for peace, the humanitarian entity dedicates its manifesto to "the impact of the war on children and proposes assistance with black clothing", as a sign of mourning for the "more than 15,000 boys and girls murdered to date since the beginning of the conflict", the collective revealed.

The gathering will be in La Plazuela de Arrecife, on Saturday, June 29 at 12:00 noon, from where the attendees will go to Calle Real for the reading of the different messages.
Their manifesto invites to denounce “the loss of thousands of frustrated lives that could not be developed and that in their short existence suffered all the enormous pain that can fit in such small bodies.”
They point out that, in the words of the commissioner of the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, Philippe Lazzarini, the genocide that Israel is carrying out against the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip “is a war against children, against their childhood and their future.”

While the number of children killed in wars around the world in the last four years reaches 12,193 deaths, in Gaza around 15,800 have lost their lives. “A war in which the majority of fatalities continue to be civilians. According to the latest data, the total number of people killed amounts to more than 37,500, of which almost half are boys and girls, and this does not include those found under the rubble of so much destruction. In addition, countless children are mutilated, malnourished and sick, who will die from not having food, water, or medical attention,” they stated.

They also recall in their statement that, according to the United Nations and the NGO Doctors Without Borders, the majority of girls and boys have died from "the bombings and explosions, but not a few have been killed in extrajudicial executions by snipers who, hidden in their shelters, shoot at the head as if it were a target practice”.

De Lanzarote con Palestina has celebrated the "implication" to date of the Spanish government with the Palestinian situation, but publicly demands the "rupture of relations with the government of Israel and that it lead the European solidarity response, urging more countries to recognize the Palestinian State and to join South Africa in its complaint for genocide against Israel before the International Criminal Court", they stated. “Palestine is not alone, here we are, in Lanzarote, all of us supporting, denouncing the death of so many boys and girls and fighting for their rights and freedoms,” they proclaimed.
