At this time of year, full of hope, illusion and unity, the educational community of Arenas, Arenas Atlántico and Arenas Internacional Schools has once again demonstrated that "solidarity values are not only taught, but lived".

"The generosity of our families has made possible an extraordinary Christmas campaign, with which we have raised almost two tons of food and hygiene products, in addition to more than 280 toys that will fill children who are going through difficult times with joy," they declare from the center.

"From the Arenas Internacional School, in Lanzarote, we managed to deliver more than 400 kilos of food and hygiene products, together with 100 toys that will illuminate the holidays of many families, to the Calor y Café Social Dining Room. In addition, the proceeds from the Christmas Solidarity Concert will go to UNICEF," they say.

For its part, the Arenas School, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, collected 1175 kilos of food and essential products, in addition to 179 toys, all delivered to the Santa Rita Social Work, an organization that works tirelessly to provide support to the most vulnerable people in our community.

At Arenas Atlántico School, in Arucas, solidarity was felt strongly, collecting 285 kilos of food and personal and household hygiene products, destined for the Food Bank and Cáritas Diocesana, in addition to the 563.05 euros raised in the first edition of our Christmas Market, whose beneficiaries will be those affected by the DANA in Valencia. As an additional gesture, all the clothes not purchased at the market were also donated to Cáritas.

"Each contribution made by our educational community goes beyond material value. It is a gesture of love, empathy and commitment to those who need it most, and, through this campaign, students have not only witnessed the importance of helping, but continue to learn to be agents of change and hope," they conclude.
