Drago, the dog rescued in Arrecife last Tuesday and victim of a possible case of animal abuse, is an example of the collaboration between the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard (Seprona) and the Animal and Environmental Protection Unit (UPAM) of the Local Police of Arrecife. The security forces continue to fight to end the abuse of animals and promote the protection of their rights.
In the images released by the Local Police of the capital on social networks, the dog had been found looking malnourished, with wounds on its paws and in an apparently neglected state. As already mentioned in La Voz, the animal was transferred to the Arrecife Animal Welfare Center to be cared for and cared for after its rescue.
Thanks to the volunteers who work at the center, the animal has been able to recover, heal from its wounds and feed. The agents highlight the "crucial" "prompt intervention" of the animal protection center to save and give the dog a new life. "It is important to have specific resources to address cases of animal abuse," the agents conclude.
