The celebration this Sunday, June 16, of the Lanzarote Wine Run 2024 will cause partial closures on two roads that cross La Geria. The LZ-56 will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from its intersection with the LZ-30 to the area known as La Hoya de la Perra, in Tinguatón. The LZ-501 will remain closed from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from its intersection with the LZ-30 to the intersection with the LZ-502.

The organization requests that people who have to travel this Sunday with their vehicles through the La Geria area during the celebration of the event pay special attention to both the instructions of the traffic officers and the signs that will inform about the alternative routes to circulate while the restrictions last.

The start of the long race (23 kilometers) will take place at 8:30 a.m. from Bodega La Florida, together with the participants with functional diversity who will also be able to enjoy the event through the Diver seal of the Cabildo, which guarantees that the Lanzarote Wine Run is an inclusive event. The start of the short race and the walk (12 kilometers both) will take place from Finca Testeina at 9:30 a.m.

Framed in the project 'Save La Geria', the Lanzarote Wine Run is organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through the Area of Landscape and Food Sovereignty directed by the councilor Samuel Martín; the City Council of Yaiza, directed by Óscar Noda, and the Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin Vinos de Lanzarote, which is chaired by Jorge Rodríguez.
