The Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism have begun distributing the work César Manrique. One hundred years of living memory to 150 schools, study centers, libraries, cultural and social centers, and public institutions on the island.
Over the coming weeks, students, the educational community, followers of the artist, and the public interested in culture will be able to enjoy reading this publication by professor Francisco Galante, which explores César Manrique's life and artistic career over a century, contextualizing his thought and creative legacy.
"It is an essential work that new generations must know," stated the Councilor of the Entity, Ángel Vázquez, who emphasizes that the book constitutes "a basic manual for consultation and reflection that will allow us to build a renewed perspective on the most transcendental creative mind in the history of Lanzarote."
Responsible hiring
The Tourist Centers have entrusted the distribution of these specimens to a social initiative company specializing in the labor integration of people with functional diversity, incorporating this type of hiring for the first time within their social responsibility policies and thus reinforcing their commitment to an accessible, inclusive, and engaged culture.
