Representatives of the workers of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers (CACT) have publicly shown their support for the demonstration that will take place throughout the Archipelago, under the slogan Canary Islands has a limit.
"We are convinced that we live in a society aware of the need for sustainable development where the benefits and economic impact of the tourism industry must be socialized and not go into the hands of a few, who put their privatized wealth before our quality of life."
In this line, they have highlighted that "Lanzarote, over several decades, has taken to the streets under slogans such as: "It's time to stop" and "Not one more bed" and many others, so we encourage all Lanzarote residents to attend the demonstration on April 20, to once again show that our island and our future matter to us and belong to us."
From the representatives of the CACT, "it is about living facing the future, contributing to building a clean alternative, intelligent, of quality of life." Thus, "when a large majority of the population is aware of the fragility and balance of everything, we will be able to reverse the destruction we have set in motion."
