Canelo the kid, a small animal that was abandoned in Lanzarote, is recovering in La Casa de Las Estrellas, a shelter located in Teguise. The animal was found by a citizen in the garbage, a place where a farmer decided to throw it after picking it up when it was rejected by its mother.
The little one is sick from a bacteria, which causes fever and the inability to move easily. After the work of the shelter's volunteers, the animal will gradually be able to be the same again.
As La Casa de Las Estrellas has published on its Instagram account, the kid is recovering favorably and has already started walking around the grounds and surroundings of the shelter.
The shelter shows social network users the progress they make with the animal every day. A journey along the road to a full recovery since he entered the enclosure barely able to put his paws on the ground and staggering from side to side.
"We continue the fight together," they recalled next to a photograph in the rehabilitation sessions of the kid. "Our Canelito has started to run a little and is tempted to jump," they revealed from La Casa de Las Estrellas.
