An immigrant family was harassed with racist insults by a group of people on a Tui flight that took off from London to Lanzarote last Christmas Eve. One of the passengers on the plane recorded and posted a video on the social network TikTok showing one of the flight attendants confronting the people who were verbally attacking the family.

"If I hear one more comment from anyone, I will call the pilots and they will call the police. I've had enough!", shouted the flight attendant. Her forceful reaction was applauded by the passengers, as those who caused the chaos on the flight made racist comments towards her and the travelers, of British-Iranian origin, calling them "whores" and telling them to "go back to their country."

“They threatened to hit me and break my glasses. And they had been kicking and punching our seats. We were all fed up," said one of the people affected.

In addition, they also said comments such as "speak in English, we are not in Pakistan." Upon arrival in Lanzarote, the victims of these racist comments ended up being escorted by the police to their apartment. To make matters worse, they had to fly back to Gatwick with the same harassers and claim that Tui's response "has been appalling."

Also, during the flight, the behavior of the problematic passengers was already inappropriate in itself, since "their children were running through the aisle of the plane and occupied several rows, in addition to shouting at the minors."
