An elderly woman had to be evacuated by helicopter this Friday after suffering a fall with a possible hip fracture on La Cocina Beach, on the island of La Graciosa, within the municipality of Teguise.

The incident occurred around 3:37 PM, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) reported an injured person in this area of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park. The intervention was more complex due to the difficulty of access and the need for air support.

Personnel from the Consorcio de Seguridad y Emergencias de Lanzarote (Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium) were dispatched to the scene, where they found a woman with clear signs of injury after the fall. After an initial assessment, the personnel proceeded to immobilize the affected limb by applying a splint, awaiting the arrival of paramedics from the Servicio de Urgencias Canario (SUC) (Canary Islands Emergency Service).

Subsequently, emergency teams collaborated in the **transfer of the affected person on a stretcher to the ambulance**, then coordinating her **evacuation by helicopter** due to a suspected hip fracture and the impossibility of a rapid overland transfer.
