Lanzarote suffers water cuts in eleven towns this Tuesday. This has been reported by Canal Gestión, the company in charge of managing this resource on the island through its website.

The municipalities that have some of their towns affected by the supply cuts are Haría, San Bartolomé, Teguise, Tías.

In the north of the island, the towns of Mala and Máguez, both in Haría; as well as the town of San Bartolomé; the towns of Muñique, Tiagua, Tao and Soo; and the towns of Tías, Tegoyo, Mácher and La Asomada.

Thus, this past Monday, the trade unions Comisiones Obreras (CCOO), Confederación General del Trabajo (CGT) and Intersindical Canaria (IC) denounced that Canal Gestión Lanzarote, a subsidiary of Canal Isabel II, is dismantling the staff on the island and raised the suspicion that the company may abandon the service at the end of this year.
