National Police agents have arrested in Arrecife two young men, 18 years old, with police records, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of belonging to a criminal group, robbery with violence and injuries. The two arrested would have perpetrated several robberies using physical violence in late-night leisure areas. In addition, by using violence in their actions, several victims had to be hospitalized for the injuries suffered. Their target was mobile phones, cash and bank cards with which they made several charges.
The National Police of the capital of Lanzarote began to process several complaints of robberies with violence in leisure areas and in a time range between 00:00 and 03:00 in the morning. The description of the alleged perpetrators coincided in the complaints, as well as the violence used to commit the criminal acts whose purpose was to steal mobile phones, cash and bank cards to make payments.
Therefore, the National Police began a police investigation to clarify the facts. Several of the injured parties provided the agents with the physical characteristics of the aggressors, with this, the national police officers managed to identify two of them. After being located in the capital of Lanzarote, the alleged perpetrators were arrested for the crimes of belonging to a criminal group, robbery with violence and injuries.
Once placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, the imprisonment of one of them was decreed, and the other detainee, having committed the acts when he was a minor, was admitted to a juvenile center.
