Agents of the Local Police of Arrecife arrested on the afternoon of Sunday, April 9, a young man, native of Morocco, accused of a crime of robbery with assault.
According to the agents, the arrested tried to steal several items in a Chinese establishment on Avenida Fred Olsen. In the attempt, two witnesses who were buying tried to prevent the theft and ended up being assaulted. In addition, they also took the watch from one of them.
According to the Local Police, the arrest occurred around 4:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the Avenida Marítima of Arrecife. After a long chase, in which even one of them went into the sea to avoid the agents but was finally arrested after his return. A complicated arrest, since once on land he tried to flee along the avenue, the Police point out.
The other young man who was accompanying him was also arrested by the National Police. Both have been placed at the disposal of the court after the appropriate instruction of the police proceedings.
