Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium rescued two women this Sunday afternoon who had gotten lost in a mountain area between Guatiza and Peñas del Chache.
After being alerted by Cecoes at around 6:37 p.m. and their exact location being unknown, the firefighters contacted them by phone so that they would send them several photos of what they saw, which made it easier to know their position. In addition, they were able to verify that the affected women were fine.
Finally, at around 7:23 p.m., the firefighters located the women and tried to go down with them towards the Guatiza area. However, as it was not possible due to the existing slope, they had to choose to go up and walk towards where the vehicles of the Security and Emergency Consortium were located, being accompanied in this last section by Civil Protection, Local Police and Civil Guard.
Later, the affected women were taken by the Civil Guard to pick up their vehicles, which were near Guatiza, ending the service.
