Two women have been injured after being hit by a car this Friday in Caletón Blanco in the municipality of Haría, as reported by CECOES.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:19 p.m. when the Coordinating Center for Emergencies received an alert reporting that two elderly people had been hit by a car and required medical assistance.
Two ambulances, one basic life support and one medicalized, from the SUC, Local Police and Civil Guard have been dispatched to the scene.
The healthcare personnel assisted the affected women, one 80-year-old woman who, at the initial time of assistance, presented multiple traumas and a serious head trauma, who had to be stabilized in the ambulance, and then was evacuated in a medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The other injured woman, 70 years old, who, at the initial time of assistance, presented head and hip trauma of moderate severity, was transferred in a basic life support ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital after being assisted by the healthcare personnel.
For their part, the police officers have initiated the corresponding proceedings.
