Two people have died in the collision of a motorcycle with a car, as confirmed to La Voz from the Cecoes. The crash took place at around 4:00 p.m. this Monday near the roundabout of the César Manrique Foundation in the direction of San Bartolomé. The two deceased are the motorcyclist and the driver of the vehicle.
Firefighters from the Emergency Consortium, Civil Guard agents, Local Police and two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service have moved to the scene. The firefighters of the Lanzarote Consortium have had to remove the driver of the vehicle who had been trapped so that he could receive medical assistance.
Upon arrival at the scene, the SUC personnel verified that the motorcyclist had injuries incompatible with life, so they could only confirm his death. Likewise, they attended to the driver of the vehicle who was unconscious, so they performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, but they were unsuccessful, later confirming his death as well.
The Civil Guard has taken charge of the corresponding procedures.
The Local Police has collaborated in the incident.
