"Without permission to anchor or disembark on the island." This is how the Civil Guard has detailed that two excursions were carried out to the protected islet of Alegranza during the past month of August, which have cost the owners of the two ships and the captain of one of them up to 6 complaints from the Benemérita.

According to the Civil Guard, on August 2 and 9, the ships of two regular maritime lines made excursions to this islet of the Chinijo Archipelago. In one, 90 tourists traveled and in another, 40, who then roamed freely through this area of special protection, in addition to playing music.

These facts would imply, according to the Civil Guard, three different infractions. The first two have to do with the Law of Harmonization of the Territory of the Canary Islands, for "anchoring without permission" and also "disembarking without permission". The third affects the Biodiversity Law. And this island has three different types of protection, including as a Special Protection Area for Birds. Thus, those responsible for these excursions would have broken the law by carrying out activities that are annoying to these animals, which are also currently in the breeding season.

From the Civil Guard they point out that in the case of the Law of Harmonization of the Territory the infractions have been reported to the Agency for the Protection of the Urban and Rural Environment of the Canary Islands (Apmun), while the regional Ministry of the Environment is notified of the third infraction.
