Two defendants arrested for robbery with force in a business in Puerto del Carmen

After allegedly committing the crime, they fled on foot, separating to try to evade the actions of the agents and hid inside a hotel complex in the town.

The Civil Guard of Lanzarote arrested two people during the early morning of February 23 as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with force inside a commercial establishment in the town of Puerto del Carmen, in Tías.

The Main Post of Tías became aware after being alerted by the COS central of the Las Palmas Command, and receiving notice from the alarm receiving center of the affected establishment.

After verifying that the entrance door had indeed been forced and that jewelry and costume jewelery had been stolen, among other effects, the Civil Guard, together with members of the Local Police of Tías, initiated a coordinated and rapid search device for the alleged perpetrators.

According to the press release reported this Wednesday, after committing the robbery they fled on foot, separating to try to evade the actions of the agents and hiding when they noticed the police presence behind them.

During the police deployment, in which the service patrols of the Main Posts of the Civil Guard of Yaiza and San Bartolomé joined, they managed to arrest the two perpetrators of the events, who had hidden inside a hotel complex in the town and also recovered all of the stolen objects.

The total value of the stolen and subsequently recovered objects is 500 euros, according to the Benemérita. Finally, the detainees, together with the instructed proceedings, were placed at the disposal of the Guard Court of Arrecife.
