The Civil Guard of Costa Teguise has arrested two people and seized 382 marijuana plants in Órzola. In this police action, which has been carried out within the framework of Operation MILLER, 1.5 kilos of marijuana "already dry and ready to be consumed" were also seized, as well as various elements for its cultivation, PH meters, fans or extractors, according to the Civil Guard.
The arrests took place on November 23. The detainees, who respond to the initials M.R.L.M. and G.Z. and are 27 and 33 years old respectively, are both of foreign nationality. Both also have a police record for the same events. Both they, as well as the objects and the seized drug, have already been placed at the disposal of the court.
The operation began as a result of various information collected by the Civil Guard about a possible marijuana cultivation inside a home in the northern town. Due to these indications, "the pertinent steps were initiated to investigate the facts and locate the plantation in question," says the Benemérita.
House entry and search
After the steps to locate that plantation that had been reported, the Civil Guard was able to specify the address where the plantation was allegedly located and on November 23 carried out the entry and search of the house.
Inside, the agents of the Costa Teguise post found a total of 382 marijuana plants, 1.5 kilos of the drug already dry and prepared to be consumed, as well as numerous instruments used for the cultivation of marijuana: heat lamps, humidity measuring hygrometers, PH meters, fans, air extractors, power batteries, etc. After that discovery, the two inhabitants of the house, M.R.L.M. and G.Z. were arrested for an alleged crime against public health.
