The Court of Violence against Children of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has ordered this Monday the provisional imprisonment for a crime of murder of the woman who was detained on Wednesday afternoon in the city, accused of having drowned her baby, a 20-month-old girl.
According to the Superior Court of Justice, the judge who has taken over the case has made this decision after questioning the detainee, a 29-year-old Venezuelan citizen whom the Police suspect drowned her daughter on the coast of the San Cristóbal neighborhood.
The National Police intervened, alerted by the residents of that area of the Gran Canarian capital, who saw the woman wandering through the neighborhood with the child's soaked corpse in her arms
